Gratitude

I just thought about how my walk started (see above); with gratitude. As I left the house this morning, I saw this man walking toward the bus for work. He must have been running a bit behind because as he turned the corner -- he started running! I thought to myself: 'I am grateful, I do not start my day at full speed, running'. I have a great opportunity where I work, I have some freedom with start and end times. I appreciate this.

I am grateful for the flexibility with my work. What are you grateful for today?

The Walk

Today, as I have for the past couple of weeks been walking in the woods behind our house. Today was especially wonderful. The moon was visible so it lit the path along the way. Stars were plenty -- plenty considering the city light around. I enjoyed my walk along the trail; staying inside today. My usual route is out onto the street for a minute to connect to another trail to return home, today I didn't want to see the traffic. So out and back I went. At the end of the walk, just as I could see my house, I stopped to enjoy the view of the moon, the stars and the snow covered trees-- they make Christmas cards like this. I stopped, looked up and around as I turned around, I had been followed by a little fox. Delightful.

It is -34 degrees Celsius out today -- hence the clear sky. I enjoyed the walk, and even though I felt like I didn't want to -- it was important to keep at it and with the experience of the stars and the fox I am glad I did.

Right now I am listening to: A Gift of Love II - Oceans of Ecstasy - a musical Valentine to Tagore. Beautiful

So I would have to say, that this day is already beautiful.

Have a great day!

Get Yourself Sorted

Find a rhythm for your life.
  • go to bed at the same time, get up at the same time (make your bed)
  • eat regularly
  • exercise (or move)

These are three simple things to start with.

Your body is great at rhytms. When you are out of sync with your life, so is your body.

The New Year

Another year has begun. On some levels I feel inspired to start afresh, and on the other hand, I want to be drawn into the winter and stay in to read and write.

I want to do more this year: I want to offer more workshops, more courses; I want to learn more techniques, return to school.

I want to do and be more.

So I move forward.
I had a great walk this morning, this is my form of journalling, I have read, I have made myself ready for the day, with hair and teeth brushed etc. Now to adjust the inversion table and put away the rest of the Christmas decorations.

So off to start the day!
